Testimonials
As a consummate educator who strives to provide the best service possible, I always ask my students and clients to leave a little blurb for me and to be as candid as possible. Here they are for you to peruse at your convenience:
“Patient, personable, and thorough”
Dr. D is passionate about helping students and it shows in the way he teaches. He is kind and will review even the most basic concepts to help build a strong foundation for the material. He has been helping me with a graduate level intro biostatistics class and I have learned more from him that I have from my classroom sessions. He reviewed the material before our session and gave me notes and feedback afterwards so I could continue learning between our sessions. He breaks down even the most cryptic problems and concepts so that they’re easily understood. He gave me confidence in understanding the material and my ability to move forward through the rest of the semester and even provided extra materials and tables that simplified the information. Besides being a wonderful teacher, he has a phenomenal sense of humor! I definitely recommend him for anyone that needs help in math.

“Knowledgeable and patient tutor“
Following my first session in biostatistics, after not having taking a math course in over 10 years, I wasn’t feeling optimistic, but after my first session with Dr D, I gained a little more confidence. He was very patient and made the topics I was having difficulty on, more simplified and easier to grasp… I really enjoyed how I was able to keep asking questions when I didn’t quite understand and how he was able to relate it.

“Organized, thoughtful, and fun tutor”
Dr. D tutored my son in AP statistics. He was amazingly well prepared and I appreciated that he asked questions about my son’s performance, lessons, and textbook before their first session. He created a meaningful and useful first tutoring session getting the most out of the first session as possible. After their first session, my son said it was helpful, he liked how Dr. D was organized and teaches. I asked him if he couldn’t wait for the session to be over or if he enjoyed it. He said he enjoyed it and could have stayed on longer. No exaggeration. I’m excited that we’ve found an awesome statistics tutor that my son enjoys meeting with and learning from.

“So patient and kind”
Dr. D is excellent. He is very professional and comes to the sessions with extra material to help guide the studies and explain everything clearly. He makes you feel very comfortable, and that it’s a safe space to answer questions, and if you answer wrong, he will help you understand why you came to that conclusion and why it’s not the correct answer. If you are considering booking, my only advice would be to DO IT! 10/10

“Amazing, knowledgeable tutor”
Dr. D has been a huge help to me with my biostatistics class. Even after our first session, I learned more than I did from my actual professor for the class. He really takes the time to explain things to you and makes sure you understand the concepts before you move on. I’m looking forward to more sessions in the future!

“Best math tutor ever!”
I’m taking a graduate level biostatistics class as part of my MPH degree. Despite having no background in math Dr. D. broke down biostatistics in a way that was easy to understand, and also made the learning process fun. I started out as a nervous novice, and by the end of our session I had confidently grasped the concepts. Dr. D. also provides all the materials you need and uses his own unique curriculum to reinforce learning. I highly recommend him. Excellent first class. I’ll be booking him again for more sessions.
